This week we found ourselves sending the 1st player to the disabled list when some playground equipment took out Ian at the plate... and broke his arm!     An injury like this usually puts you on the 15 day DL, but we hope for a return late in the season.

We are more than half way through the toughest stretch of the season (Twins monday, Practice thurs, A's Friday, Pictures Sat. and Angels Sat afternoon).

Tonights game was with a familiar opponent and it's no wonder they could hit like crazy....their coach (Tony) was hired out of OUR staff from last year...so we expected them to be able to hit the pill!!!

The A's scored an incredible 15 runs and played sound defense, but the never say die Red Sox battled from a 4-0 deficit to come back and show the A's how to be tough all the way through the line up by sending all 9 hitters to the plate each of the last 3 innings! Red Sox 17 - Athletics 15....what a contest!


Game balls went to Charles (3-3 2 Runs) ,who has been right in the decision EVERY game, and Weldon (2-2 2 Runs).

*** Parents please note that my rule to start the 1st 9 to the game has been altered due to the shortage of players coming to practice. So, from now on it will still be the 1st 9 players to the game, as long as they have been to the last practice.

If you can't make it to practice and you communicate with me or Jay then you will be exempt.
