It was a breakout game for the Red Sox offense. But the Defense stole the show. Charles, Tanner, Dawson, Chase, Savanah, Nicholas, Scott and Casey all recorded put outs. Charles and Dawson teamed up for the Perfect play of the year. The ball was hit hard to the right side, Dawson took two steps toward the ball and knew Charles could get to it so he returned to cover 1st base, Charles circled around the ball and reached out hard to his left to suck in the hard hit ball, took a crow hop and flipped it to 1st for an out! (AMAZING)

The offense could not be stopped, we pounded 4 balls to the fence, scored 20 Runs on 20 Hits. The new mindset of always thinking 2 bases really seems to set well with the boys (and GIRL) We continue to excell over our opponents by putting the ball in play as we only struck out 3 times in 35 at bats, compare that to the opponents 9 strikeouts in 21 at bats.

Game balls were surprisingly easy to give today. Chase Martin earned his first game ball with an INCREADABLE performance at the dish 4-4 with 4 runs and 4 RBI...2 deep doubles! Chase looked more like CHASE UTLEY today!
Charles took the next one with his Omar Vizquel type defense and Ken Griffey Jr. Offense was 3-3 with 3 Runs and 4 RBI, and was just a triple shy of the holy grail of baseball....."THE CYCLE"
