The boys have all come a long way since April. Our kids have all improved in every aspect of the game. Our hitting is second to none, the defense still struggles at times but looks increadable most of the time, base-running has become the focus point of improvement lately and it shows with every passing inning. Our kids really look like a "BASEBALL TEAM" when they come on and off the field with a flash of hustle.

Below I have detailed some areas of improvement for each kid, please dont think I am picking on your son, I am just hoping to improve in areas of weakness. Coaches,Dads and Moms if you see a kid at practice continuing todo some of the things I have listed below PLEASE grab them and work on it with them. If you have questions about how to fix it or what drills to do at home please ask.

Logan- VASTLY Improved!!Still has some work to do with Defense and needs to get some power in his offense. He hits the ball consistant now, just needs some softoss and "T" work.

Casey- The best 6 yr old in the league! gets his bat a little low to start which has him hitting everything up the middle or to the right. Baserunning and Defense are great. Needs to get on a "T" for some hand speed work

Charles- Top 5 best players in the entire league. Defense is remarkable. Need to spend more time in whiffle ball (rapid fire) to get his hands a little faster

Colton D.- Best 50 pounder in the league. Offense is very good, but needs to condition himself to be a singles/double hitter and not swing for the fence. Remember to "clap it in" on D

Joseph- What an improvement! no one has come further. Has work to do on hitting. keeping his eye on the ball. We will try 15 foot softtoss. Defense is fine! Just let the ball go...dont be afraid to fire the ball where you want it to go.

Scott- Mr Contact. I dont have to worry about Scott stiking out, he always puts the ball in play. Scott needs to be more selective at the plate and only swing at the pitches in the zone. he loves the "HIGH CHEESE". He has improved more than anyone throwing the baseball and now may be ready to take the "bump" next season

Colton V- Mr Happy. The happiest person I have ever been around. Happy when he hits, happy when he gets out...JUST HAPPY??? "Happy Venzon???" Glasses have helped out on both sides of the game for Colt, he has also turned into one of the better catchers on the team, FEARLESS back there! Needs to work on throwing the ball harder and flatter.

Dawson- The most talented kid on the team. Dawson is a 5 tool player (hits for average and power, plays good d, has a good arm, and has great speed) Dawson needs work on being patient at the plate. He tends to stand up straight and let his arms do all the work, 1. Bend 2. Breathe 3. Smile 4. Wait until the ball is in the zone 5. Drive the ball

Nico- My favorite (I wont hide it) Nico consistantly puts the bat on the ball, and sometimes doesnt follow through which causes infield hits. He needs to get his hands behind his ears which will increase the length of his swing and add power

Tanner- the most exciting kid in the league, also a 5 tool player. He is Mr. Hustle, no one will out hustle this kid! He is a coaches dream because he never complains, never asks to play a position and is always in OVERDRIVE. Tanner needs to work on letting his hips lead his swing, much like Dawson he lets his arms do all the work.

Savannah- She is tuff enough to wear PINK! She is the favorite player for "THE MOM_SQUAD" in the stands! They all chear louder for her as a group than they do for any other player. Does she ever make an out? Savannah has to get better at getting rid of the ball on D. She holds the ball a little long, just come up and FIRE it girl! CATCH IT OR EAT IT on the other side!

Chase- The new Prince Fielder. Mark my words, Chase will be an All-Star when he is 12! Throwing is an area for improvement. much Like Joseph, when he comes up and fires it, he is spot on...but, if he thinks about it- it could land in the stands.

Benjamin- I wish we had him all to ourselves, no gymnastics or motorcycles, but we dont. He has come a long way since the trade last year. Catching and throwing are areas in which he can focus on. On offense, he needs to keep his stance and ballance better and it will help him drive the ball with power.
